Autism spectrum disorder and its certification course

Autism spectrum disorder commonly known as Autism is a brain-related condition that eventually impacts how a person socializes, perceives and problems in social interaction and communication. This also leads to repetitive and limited patterns of behavior. It is also known as "Asperger's syndrome," which is thought to be at the mild end of autism spectrum disorder. This disorder begins in early childhood and eventually causes problems later in life too. The symptoms are shown within the first year. It is seen that there is no cure for autism but early treatment can make a big difference. Each child with autism behaves differently. Some children with autism have difficulty learning and generally understanding everything, and some have signs of lower than normal intelligence. Some common signs shown are both included genetics and environment as they both play a crucial role. It can cause significant social, communication and behavioral challenges. Its diagnosis includes several conditions that used to be diagnosed separately combining to form what is called autism spectrum disorder.

Autism Spectrum Disorder is a neuro-developmental disorder that majorly affects the communication skills, social skills, developmental language of an individual combined with rigid and repetitive behavioral patterns. Asperger’s syndrome, Rett Syndrome, Pervasive Developmental Disorder and Childhood Disintegrative Disorder all combine to from Autism Spectrum Disorder. It helps to examine the eye contact, language abilities, repetitive behaviors, and social skills to understand the symptoms present, the intensity of the symptoms. 

There are no well-defined medical tests like a blood test to diagnose Autism Spectrum Disorder. In order to make a diagnosis, the doctors look at the child’s behavior and development. Sometimes the children might not get the early help they need because of the delay. There is currently no defined cure for the same. Sometimes early intervention treatment services can improve a child’s development. If you think your child has ASD or other developmental problems, it is important to talk to your child’s doctor as soon as possible. 


The certification in Autism Spectrum Disorder provides the legal and authentic ways to detect Autism and further start with its early treatment. A child is still eligible for early intervention treatment services if he/she has been diagnosed with Autism. Children under the age of 3 years who are at risk of having developmental delays may be eligible for services is stated under The Individuals with Disabilities Education Act external icon. An intervention system in the state provides these services. Evaluation can be asked with this system. Treatments for particular symptoms have different solutions, such as speech therapy for language delays. All the causes of ASD are not known but it is known that there are multiple types of ASD. Environmental, biologic and genetic factors are some of the many different factors that make a child more likely to have an ASD.
